Planning
In
order to assist you with the planning for your cake, we have
provided the
following information that you may need to consider:
Theme & Style
If you have a specific theme or style that
your special event will follow, we can design your cake in a way
that it will provide the same reflection as your theme mood and
style. Colours & Flowers
Any colour scheme can be incorporated in your cake
design. For example if for wedding, the colour of the bridesmaids dress,
invites or floral decoration.
Our advanced designing level allows us to even replicate
a bridal bouquet made out of icing that will fully co-ordinate cake
and floral theme!
Fresh Flowers
If you are planning to have
a cake design that will incorporate fresh flowers, you will
need enquire many weeks prior since flowers are seasonal. Please
consider that flowers out of season are quite expensive and
many times not available. Guests
You will need to consider the number of guests
you will be catering for.
The size of your cake will depend on the amount and size (coffee
or dessert) of serves required.
You will need three
times more cake if you will be
serving dessert pieces. See our serving
information guide
for details on servings and cake sizes. Please be aware that
on some cake designs, increasing the cake size can spoil its
elegance by making it look quite cumbersome. In this case the
best alternative is to keep the original cake size and supplement
with an extra kitchen cake covered with the same colour
icing. Your guests will not be able to tell the difference since
this cake will be cut inside the kitchen.
Design appointment
As we are a purely online business, design appointments are not
available.
However, our master designer Angelique Nero will be more than happy to assist
you in a very accurate and time efficient manner via email. You can
send her photos of any other cakes including your colour samples, copy of your
invite... etc.
Angelique will gather as much as
information in order for her to design a very unique
cake for your special event. Once your design is finalised, she
will sketch your cake exactly the way it will be designed in
order for you to witness how it will look.
Please remember that
we are well renowned in
delivering very accurate results and all of our orders are strictly
based on a written cake design agreement. (see below)
Placing your order
Please do not leave your cake order for the last minute.
Specialty cakes do require longer design times than any other cakes.
Therefore If your design is complex you will need to book early.
We normally require for 4-6 weeks notice. However, on very busy
periods this time may be extended. For your piece of mind, we advise
to place your order as early as possible.
Cake Design Agreement
All
of your cake design details will be included for your reference
and approval on our Cake Design Agreement Form, which you will
receive once everything is finalised. Once you receive this form
you will need to check, sign and return it to us. Every single
order carried out is strictly based on such agreement.
